The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is sassa because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company level made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all customers and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
